Partnership for Security: LERSA Engages Nigeria Immigration Service on Lekki Peninsula Safety

The Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA) on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Command Headquarters in Alagbon, Lagos.
The high-powered delegation, led by LERSA President, Alhaji (Chief) Sulyman Bello, included the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT), Mrs. Tina Martins, the Vice President, Pastor Anthony Iheakanwa, the Chairman of the Security Committee, Hon. Prince Adewale Taorid Ojora, the Chairman of Stakeholders Engagement Committee, Mrs. Ibiye Ekong, as well as several members representing community associations and estate chairmen from across the Lekki corridor.
The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration with the NIS in safeguarding lives, property, and investments within the Lekki Peninsula.
In his remarks, Chief Bello commended the Nigeria Immigration Service for its unwavering role in maintaining peace and order within the corridor. He emphasized that the visit was not just a courtesy call but a deliberate effort to build stronger ties with the Immigration Command under the leadership of Comptroller AM Akadri.
“This engagement is about building lasting ties with the Nigeria Immigration Service, whose work is crucial to community safety and national development. We value the partnership and the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with Comptroller Akadri and his dedicated team,” Chief Bello stated.
In response, Comptroller AM Akadri warmly welcomed the LERSA delegation and lauded the association’s proactive role in security matters. He reassured them of the Immigration Service’s readiness to support joint initiatives that enhance safety and border management across the Lekki Peninsula.
As a mark of appreciation, the Comptroller Commander presented a complimentary award to LERSA in recognition of its commitment to collaboration and community safety.
The visit concluded with a shared commitment to sustained partnership, open communication, and collective action towards making the Lekki Peninsula a safer and thriving hub for residents, businesses, and stakeholders.
