LERSA Pays Courtesy Visit to the Garrison Commander 81 Division

The Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA) today
paid a courtesy visit to the Garrison Commander, 81 Division Army, Dodan
Barracks, Ikoyi-Obalende.
The visit aimed to familiarize with the Garrison Commander, 81 Division,
Brigadier General HM Bukar, and the army command responsible for the Lekki
Peninsula, and further strengthen collaboration between LERSA and the Nigerian
Army in safeguarding the community.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the LERSA Security Committee, Hon.
Prince Adewale Taorid Ojora, provided updates on the Association’s ongoing
security efforts. He revealed that the Committee is developing a strategic
security blueprint tailored for the Lekki region and highlighted several
initiatives already being implemented to enhance safety and community
responsiveness.
LERSA President, Alhaji (Chief) Sulyman Bello, expressed sincere
appreciation for the Nigerian Army’s commitment to maintaining peace within the
Lekki corridor. He noted that the visit was not only a courtesy call but also
an opportunity to foster a stronger working relationship with the Commander and
his team.
In his remarks, Brigadier General HM Bukar warmly welcomed the LERSA
delegation and commended their proactive approach to community safety. He
assured them of the Army’s readiness to support joint security initiatives and
emphasized that his doors would always remain open to LERSA.
The engagement concluded with a mutual commitment to sustained
partnership and open communication in the shared goal of making the Lekki
Peninsula safer and more secure.
