July 7, 2026
The Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA) was present at a stakeholder engagement with the Federal Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, held at Eko Hotel, Lagos.
The meeting was convened to address concerns over recent flooding incidents along the Lekki coastal corridor.
LERSA was represented by its President, Alhaji Chief Sulyman Bello; Vice President Pastor Odozimba Uche Iheakanwa; Chairman of the Security Committee Prince Adewale Taorid Ojora; and Chairman of the Infrastructure Committee Pastor Adewale Aderoju.
During the engagement, Minister Umahi stated that the newly constructed coastal road is not the cause of the flooding. He noted that the Federal Government will collaborate with Hitech Construction Company, the Lagos State Government, and the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources to find a lasting solution.
