Date: 8th of May, 2026
A Partnership Implementation Kickoff Meeting was held yesterday, Friday 8th May, 2026, at the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Secretariat, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, marking a significant step forward in the collaborative effort between the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Educational Transformation & Management Consultants (ETMC), CWO Lekki Denary Foundation, the Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA), and Lekki Worldwide Investments Limited (LWIL), among other key partners.
The meeting was graced by the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, alongside key officials and representatives of the local government. Also in attendance were the President of LERSA, Alhaji Sulyman Kolawole Bello; Mrs. Bolaji Osime, Chairman of the LERSA Education Committee; and Mrs. Adetutu Oshodi, Subcommittee Chairman of the LERSA Vocational Education Committee. Mrs. Elizabeth Idigbe, Founder of the CWO Lekki Denary Foundation, attended with key members of her team, while Mr. Oyebamiji Oguntoye represented Lekki Worldwide Investments Limited (LWIL) alongside other LWIL stakeholders. Key representatives from the Educational Transformation & Management Consultants (ETMC) were equally in attendance.
At the heart of this collaboration is a demand-based vocational training model — a game-changing approach that doesn't just train young people in generic skills, but trains them in the exact skills that companies within the Lekki Free Zone and its industrial corridor actually need. This means real jobs, real opportunities, and real impact.
Roles were clearly defined, commitments were reaffirmed, and all partners left the table ready to hit the ground running. From community mobilisation to curriculum design, industry liaison to beneficiary engagement — every piece of the puzzle is being carefully put in place.
Mark your calendars: the official public launch is set for Monday, 27th July, 2026.
The ecosystem is being built. The future of Ibeju-Lekki's youth is being written — and it looks incredibly promising.
